Panel O-Tur

The panel is entirely developed by the Institute for Economic Research and deals exclusively with self-collected data. It is set as a system of a regular publications of the overall data gathered from the side of the players of Ticino tourism market. The panel’s objective is to have a barometer of the tourism sector of the canton. Thus, the intention is to get a perception of the main stakeholders representing diverse categories of the present and future tourism trends in Ticino. The following categories of stakeholders are presently considered in the panel:

  • Hotels, 4 and 5 stars
  • Hotels, 2 and 3 stars
  • Restaurants of high level
  • Other restaurants
  • Holiday houses
  • Campings
  • Principal tourism activities

With the exception of tourism activities, the selection of the stakeholders ensures statistical representativeness of the sample in Ticino.
